Four Fifteen in the Morning on Flickr.
Saturday night was a blast.
I shot the Chicago Outfit Roller Derby’s Home Opener Saturday night at the Windy City Fieldhouse.
I’d met a bunch of these ladies at the Spaghetti Wrestling event at the Double Door and I was invited to shoot the home opener.
These girls are some serious athletes and watching them kick some ass on skates is pretty amazing.
I’ll be goin’ through the pictures and I’ll lay it all out for you later in the week.
It was a lotta fun and it really kicked off my Saturday night right!
You gotta see these women do what they do on the Roller Derby track.
Their next home bout is on May 19th at the Windy City Fieldhouse at 2367 W. Logan Blvd. in Chicago.

After all that action I went out and grabbed some pizza and a couple of beers and tried to shoot some rats in Wicker Park.
I thought for sure ‘tonight was gonna be the night.’
But I saw three rats and didn’t get a shot of one.
I figured as long as I was out I’d shoot some people too.
They’re a lot easier to shoot than rats.
I’ll tell you what…
I escaped the evening injury free…
although I’m always really sore after shootin’ like that…
and I was really feelin’ the love.
And the beers just added a pleasant vibe to that.
I was on a ‘hoppy’ kick and the night was happenin’.
Nobody tried to kick my ass all night!
I didn’t get into a single dustup out there Saturday night!
It was nothin’ but love and light!
I hope you had yourself a spectacular weekend and you were feelin’ all that love mojo vibe too.
We gotta go out and do some street shootin’ soon.
